Damage Deposit And Fees
Your deposit is protected by the Deposit Protection Service. Here is everything you need to know about how it works, and the indicative charges which may be incurred through loss or damage.
Deposit
Your deposit will be protected by the Deposit Protection Service (DPS).
You will receive an email confirming the details within 30 days of paying the deposit.
At the end of the tenancy you will be advised if any deductions are necessary.
ChargesIndicative charges for loss or damage
The following are indicative charges which may be incurred through loss or damage:

| Replacement keys | £25 per set of 2 |
| Call-out for delivery of replacement keys or providing access to a house between 10pm and 9am | £50 |
| Removal of abandoned waste | £10 per 100 litre bin liner (or equivalent size object) |
To avoid incurring any deductions please read the moving-out guidance carefully. You must work as a team with your housemates to return the house in the condition in which it was presented: clean and clear of all personal possessions and waste. Ensure your rent payments are up-to-date and any council tax charges have been paid. We will issue full guidance in the run-up to the end of your tenancy, and we will be happy to answer any questions you have.
DPS will issue an email with guidance for reclaiming the deposit, so please notify the DPS if your email address changes during the tenancy.
